Travel is something everybody aims at undertaking at one point of time or other in their lives. I Love reading all your comments on my posts on how you’d love to visit the places I’ve documented about in my Blog. So today I want to hear from you, my Readers on places that make it to your Travel Bucket list!

  1. I have to add Arpita, I would love to visit India now as you and many of my friends in blogosphere are from there, I also want to go to the USA and Canada to see my other blogging friends and my friends who migrated there 🙂 I love visiting a friend if I can 🙂

  2. Paris – to see the beautiful architecture that inspired so many artist, see the fabulous fashion and munch on croissants.
    Canada – because I hear Canadians are so polite & I also want to visit Vancouver I hear it’s beautiful.
    And now I also want to see the Northern lights 😊

      2. I want to see the Northern Lights myself! They look so amazing in pictures, I can only imagine what they’d look like when you actually see them!
        Iceland must almost feel like being in the lap of nature! 🙂

  5. I’ve never been anywhere but it’s on my list! hahaha. Stretched target would be to visit all 7 continents (at least 1 country each) but on a more realistic side, maybe to complete Southeast Asia and tour around Western and Mediterranean Europe. 🙂

      2. Ohh yes! That always happens, the forbidden fruit is more attractive! I am an Indian & I would like to visit Pakistan, which doesn’t seem like a possibility anytime soon!

  8. For what it’s worth…

    – Train/bus trip on the perimeter of the former USSR (would be a long one, but in general, no problem..)
    – Svalbard, Arctic (maybe this winter)
    – Central Africa (hard to survive, but still want to get to some place where not so much of the travellers have been)
    – Islamic world: Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iran. (Saudi Arabia is quite hard to enter, but the rest are available for an average traveller and IMHO are very interesting)

    And, of course, continental Indochina – though I have just got back from it, this region is simply amazing.

      1. For now only Yangon, Ho Chi Minh City, Vientiane, Phnom Penh, KL, Singapore and a few non-continental bonuses like Kuching and Jakarta. In almost all of these cities I happened to go to the neighbouring towns/villages, sometimes to see something interesting and sometimes just out of curiosity, but these small towns/villages does not count 🙂 Also I’ve visited a few cities of Thailand a few years before.

        It’s a pity but I have only 2-month Summer Holidays and 2-week Winter ones in my University, so I usually have to wait much before I go multi-destination travelling .

      2. You have explored so much already! for somebody who loves to travel, any given amount of time seems less 🙂 How did you like Jakarta? We plan to visit Indonesia in the near future.

      3. Well, in Jakarta we almost got robbed (I am going to write more about it in my blog, so stay tuned).

        I say “almost” because we managed to escape the robbery, so didn’t lose anything but got a few wounds, so we even been to poor Jakarta’s hospital. Luckily we were able to walk much right at our next destination and now almost completely healed.

    1. I love Animals myself! I recently visited Thailand, and had the opportunity to go for a Safari there. It was amazing to see the creature of the wild roaming around freely! Especially the Tigers & the mighty Lions! . We were not allowed to photograph them as the flash from our cameras disturb the animals. It was the highlight of my tour! Africa am sure will be hundred times more exciting!

    1. Aloha! Its on my Dads list forever! From what I saw on a show on Travel & Living its beautiful! I’d really like to take my dad there someday. And if you visit before I do, I can take some tips from you 🙂

      1. I went to Amsterdam once in 2002 and fall in love with the canal boats. I did go on the tourist boat ride along the canal. It’s been a bucket list thing I’d love to do… living on one for a year. I have grown up with boats and love the freedom that they bring. I’ll have to investigate how one goes about ticking it off the bucket list 🙂

    1. Believe it or not this is a very well though out post. Post of this kind are going to be a frequent feature on my blog in the coming months. Its a great way to interact with my readers & help me get to know them better.I have people of so many nationalities following my blog, there is so much I can learn from them about their countries! From this post itself, I got informed of places I had never heard of!
      Europe is on my list too! My parents visited it last year & loved it!

      3. Hahah, thanks, I am relieved. When I don’t see smileys on other side it makes me worried. Did my remarks hurt other? Did I say something wrong? And so on.
        Yes I am saving drafts of ideas. Though to be honest–I never run out of ideas. I can continue writing 100 days at a stretch but the point is to find out whether it’s being well-received and enjoyed by others 🙂

      4. lol I know right! Smileys makes me feel better too! The thing is my blog is specifically about travel, so when I am not travelling, I have to like really think about what will interest my readers. In August I did a number of posts in the interval of 2-3 days. Now will keep a gap of at least a week.

        It’s only wise to post once every week or fortnight on such a blog as yours. You might have seen Rakesh’s blog–I feel he does a great job too 🙂

    1. Its so difficult to just pick a few right! The world is such a beautiful place! I have always been fascinated by Japan! when I was a little girl, every other year I would dress up as a Japanese girl for our fancy Dress competition! I just loved my kimono so much! My bucket list entry goes this way- Visit Japan, see the Cherry Blossom & buy a Kimono!
      Malaysia is beautiful too, I have a post on it, you can check it out! 🙂

    1. I have a sister in New Zealand & she loves it! The country side is so beautiful! I love the greenery. Northern Lights make it to my bucket list too! Aren’t they so unique, almost magical. I also want to live in an Igloo!

  22. I would love to spend 2-3 months traveling Europe. Then I would like to spend 2 months of the winter in an exotic and warm location. You know they type: beautiful beaches, lovely weather and delicious food.

      1. Hello Arpita! I have been to Prague (which I highly recommend) but for less than a week. I am thinking a tour of the UK then some time in Italy (I have heard southern Italy is beautiful) and France?

We will see each other in France, Tuscany and Greece and Venice too 🙂 I would love to travel in Paris to see Eiffel Tower and Louve, I think if I have my way, it will be all of Europe mostly for the Museums and historical places. I also would love to visit first the places here in my country, the Philippines. 🙂 I am just catching up on your post so it is way too late a reply Arpita lol 😛

  23. Everywhere? That’s probably unrealistic and slightly dangerous… Can I pick somewhere I have already been? New York is my favourite place, I could visit again and again, it makes me feel so much more a part of the world

      4. Yeah I loved it there, It is not a cheap place to get to buy when your there it is very cheap to travel round. I might do a party in some of the places I have been in the past.

      1. I was studying American history for A Level, mainly the Civil Rights Movement and so visited New York, Washington DC and briefly Philadelphia on a college trip. I’d always dreamt of visiting NY and I think I actually squealed when we first saw the city, it was so alien and exciting for someone who’d never left Europe. It’s a city that’s buzzing with life, culture and history, I like to feel I’m in love with the real New York not just the touristy bits (which are pretty incredible) or the posh parts. I could write forever about the city, you absolutely have to go! My next planned visit is for my 21st but I’m not sure I can wait that long and I’m determined to live their at some point. I recommend watching Begin Again, it’s one of my favourite films, it might not be one of the best in the world but watching it I felt like I was in New York again and it made me so happy.

      1. It is Rocky Mountain wilderness much like that of the US west of the 18th and 19th centuries — no roads, no facilities. You can find much inormation on Google, but more importantly, I urge you to seek out the “back roads” and lesser traveled places in addition to the famous ones like Paris, London, Rome, NYC, etc.
        I noticed someone else replied about travelling across Canada. We did that last year (lots of posts) and just like in the US, many Canadians in the big cities wondered why we wanted to drive through the middle of the country. We loved it.

      2. Sounds like an amazing place! I do agree with you, there is a charm about lesser traveled places. Untouched by tourist vibe, I love how much more they offer in terms of everything.
